Words of advice...
When we asked former AHSS athletes what they attributed to their team’s success and what advice they would give current Highlander athletes, here is what we heard:
- “If you work hard and put in the effort, you will always be successful."
- “Learn to lose with grace as there will always be somebody better than you.”
- “Do the best you can with what you have been given.”
- “Pursue your athletic endeavours; playing and competing on a team will help you become a better team player and will serve you well in life.”
- “Sports is not the be all and end all; whatever you do go as far as you can in school.”
- “Enjoy the moment, " and finally,
- “If you lose, get back up on your feet and never give up."
